Dearest Colleagues

With the New Year comes new beginnings, fresh starts and reaffirmations of love and promises
to family and friends. It is also a time of reflection, assessment and realignment with Biblical principles.

Standing firm and willing to risk a public stance for God’s truth takes a soul of conviction and a voice of courage.
The Judeo-Christian heritage was the foundation Western Medicine was founded upon. Where the
Sanctity of Life and the dignity of the human person are paramount for decision making. Because of this, patients place their trust in us, the medical professionals to care for them in a compassionate and ethical manner. We have a moral obligation to properly fulfill that role.
The battle for the culture at times feels insurmountable. Galatians 6:9 gives us hope and encourages us not to become weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. In the medical field we know distance a little hope can go. For it is said, human beings can live for forty days without food, four days without water, and four minutes without air. But we cannot live for four seconds without hope. The reality is that in order to give hope, we first need to have it, for we cannot give something we do not have.
Many of us remain disappointed (to say the least) on the last three unsuccessful referendums. Physician assisted suicide, when a medical professional participates in the termination of life. The second- Privacy for All, the transgender bathroom bill (the will of a minute percentage of the population is placed over the privacy of the majority). Very few want their daughters sharing a locker room, shower or bathroom with a male. The last one, SB 277, Parental Rights usurped by the government, imposing upon their child a medical intervention, often times without proper medical informed consent.
Lastly, many are involved in the Parental Notification Initiative. It requires a physician to notify a parent at least 48 hours before performing an abortion on a minor girl under the age of 18 (with a judicial bypass for cases of parental abuse) Twenty percent of all abortions are performed on minor girls. If you feel so led, please gather as many signatures as possible until early March.
Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advanced for us to do. May 2016 be the year we reflect, assess and realign, finding our purpose and fulfillment in advocating, upholding and restoring the Right to Life!
Warm regards to you and yours,
